Contrary to early reports by TMZ, the operation was a scheduled surgical procedure and not an emergency open-heart surgery. And the heart surgery had nothing to do with his history of anabolic steroid use.

MLB reported that it is most commonly known as DHCMT but this assertion is laughably false. The most common name for this steroid is Oral Turinabol.

Dave Sampson, a strength and conditioning coach and the supervisor of the Belk Fitness Center at Roanoke College in Salem, could see all anabolic steroid possession charges and cocaine possession charges against him dismissed. Sampson would see he criminal record wiped clean if he successfully completes the conditions of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
