Steroids Kill

The latest news coming from the whole steroids buzz is not from baseball, but rather pro wrestling, WWE. I know you are shocked right now to here that wrestlers use steroids (sarcasm), but for any of you who haven’t heard, Pro wrestler Chris Benoit died yesterday, along with his wife and kids. The police have stated that Chris strangled his wife, killed his two sons, then hung himself in the weight room in his house. The police also say they are investigating the use of steroids as a cause of the murder/suicide.

Now I want to say that I feel for the Benoit family, and I don’t want to come off like I am using this tragedy to get views. But this is a serious topic that people don’t think of when they think of steroids. Not that all steroid users are going to go crazy and kill their families, but steroids have side effects. They are a drug like another. This makes me wonder why people use them. The obvious answer is they enhance your performance, but I think it is the lazy way to do it.

If you want to be the better than everyone, practice harder than anyone. I know that there is no way you can get into WWE without steroids, but there are better things out there than WWE. This is one reason why I like to watch boxing instead of wrestling, because boxers train, work hard, and use skill and speed, not actors on juice.

Now I know some of you WWE fans aren’t going to like this, but steroids are the lazy way out, and they affect the body and mind. I wish people would realize that not only are they cheating, but they can be very harmful. So from one young guy to all of you readers wanting to get ahead, please don’t choose roids. I have friends who do them and I cant figure out why. If you want to get bigger, put your head down and work. It will take longer, but you will be healthy.
