ALC, short for Acetyl-L-Carnitine, is mainly used to:
• Help slow down memory loss
• elevate mood
• Increase oxygen uptake
• Improve our sensory abilities by boosting neurotransmitter
activity due to increasing the blood flow to the brain.
ALC is not to be confused with L-carnitine, which is
a very popular weight loss supplement. ALC is the acetyl
form of L-carnitine, which increases mental focus.
There is no sure fire dose that is to be used to get
the benefits mentioned above, but a good start would
be to try 500mg 3 times per day.
Some sources say that it can be more effective taken
without food, but the discomfort may not be worth it
to you. If you do experience discomfort it is recommended
that you take ALC with food.
Small amounts of ALC can be found if our bodies and
in milk. If pregnant, please speak with your doctor
before using.
