Perandren, a.k.a. testosterone phenylacetate, is testosterone with the phenylacetate ester that is chemically structured as a short ester, but functions like a slow-acting long ester. It was developed to treat androgen deficiencies, which result in a variety of largely sexually-related and other low testosterone induced conditions.
Perandren was produced in 50 mg/ml of steroid in a water-based solution, and came in varying multi-dose vial sizes. However, testosterone phenylacetate is no longer being manufactured as a prescription drug. It is unknown, and very unlikely that this version of testosterone (the phenylacetate ester) is being produced in underground labs.
