CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)

CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a fatty acid that is essential to your diet. CLA can mainly be found in dairy products, but can also be found in turkey or beef. CLA has been shown to be affective in the ability to:

  • Fight cancer, because of it’s powerful antioxidant properties
  • Reduce body fat
  • Increase lean muscle mass.

CLA is probably one of the most under rated supplements on the market. Research has shown that the use of CLA in people concerned about their weight has significantly shifted their body fat composition and lean muscle gains in the positive direction. Studies done on animals showed that when guarana was taken with CLA, it reduced their fat cells by an unbelievable 50%! CLA may also help in slowing down or stopping arteriosclerosis, which could lead to heart disease.

Reason for Use Dosage of CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) Frequency of Use
Reduce Body Fat 1 gram (1,000 milligrams) 3 Times a Day
Build Muscle Mass 2 grams (2,000 milligrams) 3 Times a Day
Reduce Cancer Risk 3 grams (3,000 milligrams) Total for the Day

There is no exact known amount of CLA to use daily that is totally backed by research. Studies have shown that CLA has in fact reduced the risk of certain cancers in animals, including lung, stomach, prostate, and breast cancers. It is hoped that CLA will reduce the risk of these diseases in humans.
