Ginkgo, also known as Ginkgo Biloba, is from the leaves of the Ginkgo tree, the longest living species of tree in the world. Ginkgo Biloba is mainly known for its use as a cognitive enhancer and is used by many to help prevent or slow down memory problems that we face as we age. Athletes have been using Ginkgo Biloba recently to harness some of the benefits to increase mental alertness and focus. It is not recommended that Ginkgo Biloba be taken if using blood thinning medication and should not be used in dosages of over 600mg per day. This may cause diarrhea and/or vomiting.
