Test-Cypionate is one of the most popular and commonly used testosterones by athletes and performance enhancers such as the everyday gym rat looking for a better physique. As are all testosterones, Test-Cypionate is defined by the ester that is attached, as the testosterone hormone is the same regardless of the ester attached. Perhaps the biggest reason this particular form is so popular is because it is so easy to use, meaning it’s one of the more convenient forms in-terms of application regarding frequency as well as efficiency.
For years an ongoing debate has raged on regarding Test-Cypionate and Testosterone-Enanthate revolving around which one is more powerful and the answer is simple. They are equal; 100mg of Test-Cypionate will yield the same results as 100mg of Testosterone-Enanthate; the two compounds are virtually identical. As both types of testosterone are defined by their ester, in this case the Cypionate and Enanthate ester are as closely related as two esters can be. Both forms carry with them a moderately long half-life as both are moderately long esters. The difference in half-life is approximately 24hrs and when we’re talking about half-lives that extend well beyond a week the difference is beyond negligible. Test-Cypionate possesses a half-life of approximately 12 days while Testosterone-Enanthate carries a half like of approximately 11 days. Even so, some will still hold to Test-Cypionate being more powerful but more times than not this is simply a mental disillusion as there is really no difference between the two compounds.
As a moderately long ester Test-Cypionate will need to be injected at a minimum of once per week; a once per week injection will ensure your blood levels remain above baseline. However, once administered blood levels will begin to fall rapidly after approximately five days, for this reason most Test-Cypionate users will be best served with applying two injections per week in order to maintain steady blood levels at their peak.
The most obvious point of interest revolves around the benefits of Test-Cypionate use and the benefits are truly great. Increases in muscle mass and strength can all be readily achieved far beyond what you can obtain without. As a both highly anabolic and androgenic compound Test-Cypionate greatly increases nitrogen in the muscle tissue thereby allowing more protein to be stored; further, Test-Cypionate will greatly protect the body from muscle destroying hormones known as glucocorticoid hormones which are extremely catabolic. If that’s not enough the benefits go even deeper; because the testosterone hormone increases IGF-1 in the body we thereby increase the total anabolic activity within the body when testosterone levels are increased; and then it again continues to get even better. Because testosterone binds so efficiently to the androgen receptors which aids in muscle gain it further aids in fat loss as well as repair of muscles once damaged from the stress of training.
The list of benefits truly go on and on; higher endurance due to increased red blood cell production, higher nutrient absorption resulting in a more anabolic machine; increased sex drive and of course a greater sense of well-being. Unfortunately, as is with all steroids and all medications for that matter, Test-Cypionate does carry the possibility of negative side-effects. The negative side-effects are often dose dependent, meaning, the higher the dose the greater the risk but some will take this risk as a higher dose will yield greater results. Estrogen conversion of the hormone is a very real thing and most users of the hormone will be best served by taking precaution. As the conversion to estrogen can lead to aromatizing effects, if we supplement our use with a good aromatase inhibitor we can often reverse these effects and enjoy use without any problems. Such problems can include excess water retention, Gynecomastia, high blood pressure and high cholesterol to name a few. It should be noted, that while proper use is very important, proper and healthy nutrition can greatly lend to keeping your blood pressure and cholesterol in line.
